2.3 Downloading WPML Components
The recommended and most up-to-date method uses the OTGS Installer for seamless downloading and activation (updated process as of 2025). For Multilingual CMS or Agency plans, this will automatically include all core components and required add-ons.
Log in to https://wpml.org/account
Click Downloads in the account sidebar
Download the OTGS Installer ZIP file (this is the primary file you'll need initially)
Note: Do not extract the ZIP manually—upload it directly to your WordPress site. The OTGS Installer will handle downloading the specific WPML components based on your plan:
WPML Multilingual CMS (core plugin)
WPML String Translation (required add-on)
WPML Translation Management
WPML Media Translation
(Optional) WPML Multilingual & Multicurrency (if you use WooCommerce)
